Every day God has a new blessing, something new to teach and show us everyday…Posted by TR Pennington on July 20, 2013 Uncategorized | Tags: Studio | 2 comments
We been waiting until today, July 20th, 2013, to share this “new” story with ya’ll from one of Rhett’s old blogs. He wrote the following post back in 2008 on this same date. Today’s the 5th anniversary of this special story and we think it NEEDS to be shared.
Will Rhett find it a tad creepy that we found one of his old blog posts and are re-posting it here?
BUT! We are willing to risk that for your entertainment!! 😀 We are ‘Merican Google Ninjas.
Thanks Mr Thief what musician really needs a guitar
On my way to play at a church called Ridge Church in Matthews, NC, Had to stop at ol faithful Guitar Center. I went in for a minute to mess around and waste time. Only had about 15 min to waste till I had to be at the venue. I come out of Guitar Center, and my equipment was missing.
Just figuring that my guitar had needed a breather from the heat, and went for a walk I frantically looked around and for some reason turned in a lot of circles looking around. I don’t know why but it made me feel better. I’m sure there was a lot of people looking at the weird dude in the parking lot spinning in circles like a mad carrousel.
I was parked about 10 parking spaces from the front door, and it was about 2:30 in the afternoon in broad day light. I’m still distraught over the situation, and wondering why, but there is one thing I know. As BIG as this situation feels, it is really just another piece of the pie to God, as He has everything in control and in the palm of his hand. I’m reminded of Noah as God told him to build an ark. He didn’t have much help and as it would be so hard to find a lot of material, not to mention hammers and stuff you need to build stuff like that… you know what I mean. God told Noah to build this ark as it furthered the kingdom of God. God supplied him the tools He needed. So…. why would God not do the same for me. It’s all in God’s hand. So God will supply the tools I need in the right time.
So this is in God’s hand. And I can rest in that fact.

Well, it happened. The other day I was blessed with a brand new Taylor guitar. It sounds amazing and is beautiful. I really saw God come through on this. I played in Hendersonville, NC tonight and was able to give her a try out, and ohh how beautiful she played. It was really great to see God move in this situation in my life. All though not to easy, I was able to forget the problem I was dealing with and just let God handle it.
Although I was reminded tonight, the speaker spoke about how God wants to bless us daily. A new blessing everyday. God if spoke of it when he was teaching us to pray- Give us this DAY, our DAILY bread. Every day God has a new blessing, something new to teach and show us everyday.
On another note, I’ve got some interesting shows coming up, so check them out.
And about to go back into the studio to try to finish up on this album.
