TMZ Tries to Link Rhett Walker Band with Duck Dynasty Controversy

Some writer(s) over at TMZ (We can’t tell you who it was; the post is credited to “TMZ Staff” for anonymity) must have got a chuckle this morning after announcing to their readers that the Rhett Walker Band was “worried a full blown riot may break out this weekend at their concert in Ohio … and it’s all because one of the guys from “Duck Dynasty” will be there.

Now, TMZ IS KNOWN to embellish the truth a bit in order to incite their readership. So it really comes as no surprise that they would “quote” Rhett as saying, “…we 100% support Phil and what he said” while linking the bold text to this sensationally titled, inflammatory article.

That’s clownish, irresponsible reporting at best, and they know it.

So what do the Rhett Walker Band and their fans, the Rhett’Necks, think about all this manufactured controversy?

See for yourself. We’ve posted some of their Tweets below.

UPDATE: The Rhett Walker Band has issued THIS STATEMENT on their official Facebook page.

2- We never said their would be.
3- TMZ is a gossip news source that called us trying to make a story out of nothing.
4- We support Duck Commander and love their products and who they are
5- We do not judge, we love everyone
6- The show will go on
